If you don’t love what you do, you won’t do it with much conviction or passion and you won’t be successful. You will tend to procrastinate, and you will not feel fulfilled. Do what you love, or you will lack the energy and motivation to become truly successful.  The reason I quit my high paying sales job was because I lost the passion. I was making a great income and making my employer even more money. I decided I wanted to pursue my own dreams and passions. I wanted to reap big rewards for my efforts. I had confidence from my years of experience and knew I could make money doing what I love. I had the skills, the abilities and the necessary drive to be successful. I’d already proven that to myself.

Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Do what successful people do and follow your heart not your wallet the wallet will take care of itself. Do not wait for better times to purse your passion and dreams. The time is now.   There will never be a perfect or better time than now. Stop making excuses, I will do this when, after this happens then I can do this.  Time is going to come and go, and you can either be that much further ahead towards reaching your goal or still be behind. If you never start, you’ve already failed.

What is unique to you? What can you do better than anyone else? Everyone has something. Do you feel like there is something out there that you are supposed to be doing, that is your purpose? The one thing you have that no one else has is you. It’s your voice, your mind, your story your vision, your creativity, your dream. Passion is energy.

  • Don’t settle for being less than your best.
  • Don’t compromise on your dream.
  • Don’t settle. Don’t compromise.
  • Don’t give up.

The Purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for a newer and richer experience”. Eleanor Roosevelt.

You must be willing to put in the effort and spend the time pursuing your dream. Begin by setting goals and making them realistic so you don’t set yourself up for failure. Your dream could take 6 months or 3 years. If you’re not failing along the way or making mistakes, then your dream isn’t big enough. Never stop learning or honing your skills. My Mantra is – Constant and never-ending self-improvement.

Your business is ultimately your life.  If you want your life to be fulfilling, you need to have passion for what you do. Most people who start a small business start it with the wrong assumption.  They ask themselves, “How can I make money?”  If you focus on the money and fulfillment second, then you’re making a mistake.

The right question to ask is, “What am I passionate about, and how can I build a business around it?”  This is important because you will spend most of your time working on your business. Probably 12 hours a day, 7 days a week while you’re building your business.  It requires dedication, hard work, commitment, and focus.

When I started my own business, I spent the first 2 years focused on nothing else.  I sacrificed most of the other things I enjoyed doing because I had an end goal.   I became a hermit. I was committed to my own success. It didn’t matter because I loved doing my work so much I could literally work all night and go without eating. Most people today spent more time at work than any other activity, so you better do something you really, really love.

“Follow your passion” has become a well-worn phrase. But what happens if you don’t know what your passion is? This isn’t just an issue for those beginning their careers. It can be a problem for those stuck in jobs that they don’t enjoy. It’s all too easy to fall into a routine that leaves you bored or unfulfilled.

“If you don’t like the road you are on, start paving another one.” – Dolly Parton

You want to make the switch but you’re not sure how to go about it. Follow these steps to determine your passion and purpose.

1. Get More Action – (not that kind of action)!

You can’t think your way into finding your life purpose. The more we act, the more we get clear on things. So instead of overthinking it —

  • Will this work out?
  • Should I try that?
  • What if I don’t like it?
  • What if I don’t make money at it?

Start trying new things and taking steps toward your goals. This will help you get out of your own way.

  • The experience is the reward
  • Clarity comes through the process of exploring
  • Action is where you get results.

2. Listen to Your Intuition

Your heart, your soul, your intuition, is your best tool to access your true purpose and passion. Ask yourself what do you love? Start taking steps to do what you love. When you are inspired and connected to your happy self, inspiration floods your heart and soul. When you lead from your heart, you are naturally more joyful and motivated to explore. By doing what you love, you will be inspired and gain insights into what brings you the most joy and gets you closer to living a life you love.

3. The One Thing

Many of us struggle because we try to find that ONE perfect thing that we are meant to do. Trying to find the perfect one thing is often the reason we feel like something is missing. The notion that we have only one thing we are meant to do, limits us from fulfilling our greatness. Take me for example; I’m a coach, author, speaker, mentor, and leader. Each thing I do brings me joy, but none of these are my purpose. They are my passions. This book will help you start getting in touch with your passions! When you lead a passionate life, you are living your life on purpose.

Let go of thinking there is only one purpose for you and embrace the idea that our purpose in life is to love life fully. This means we face our fears, get out of our comfort zone and try new things; we fully engage in what is happening right here, we stop worrying about the future and ruminating about the past. When we live a passion-filled life we are living on purpose, and that is the purpose of life. The need to seek our purpose comes from a lack of passion. When you don’t feel connected to your life, you lack purpose and passion.

Ever say to yourself, “If I could just figure out what I’m really passionate about, everything else will take off”? One of the most common stumbling blocks to launching and living a passion-based life is figuring out what you’re passionate about. Many of us overthink the process and we never get started.  Passion can’t be found in your head because it lives in your heart. No matter how hard you try, you cannot figure out your passion by over thinking it. You must take action and feel your way to your truth, from the inside out.

  • An obstacle is something you see when you take your eye off the goal
  • Focus on the plan, not the problem – what you focus on expands
  • Be, do, have – be all you can be, do what you intend, have what you desire
  • You belong wherever you want to belong
  • The purpose of business is to fund the perfect life
